If there is one thing that I have learned over the process of growing up, it’s to never compare your own successes to those of others. Instead I have started celebrating the success of others. To genuinely smile at seeing the hard work of others pay off. To fill your heart with joy when seeing your friends or family succeed. Or to put it simply: to be happy because someone else is. And not be jealous of that happiness, but instead to look up to and admire someone else’s achievements. They can be an encouragement rather than a discouragement. And that is when happiness is found, when you stop comparing yourself to others and their achievements. When you celebrate other’s triumphs just as much as your own victories. Double the joy.
